Kilbree Kid has taken well to fences but has a lot do conceding weight to some battle-hardened handicappers, with STAGECOACH PEARL a typical example. Sue Smith's charge hasn't won now since 2011 but has optimum conditions here, ran a cracking race last time behind The Romford Pele in the Uttoxeter John Smith's Summer Cup and previously finished a creditable second at Aintree. He deserves another success and should go well if conditions remain favourable. High Ron, now three from his last four, is clearly progressive at this sort of level and could eke out further progress whilst Ballybough Gorta has been much better the last twice. They look the main dangers to the selection although Nodform Richard will be popular for McCain and McCoy but this is a better race than the one he landed last time and he may not represent good value.
