Lord Lir has slipped down the weights and showed the benefit when posting a much better effort when second in a novices' handicap at Newton Abbot. He looks sure to figure but ROXYFET (NAP) gets the vote after finishing third to Toledo Gold in a higher grade contest over track and trip and can race off the same mark today. Great Demeanor has had a couple of starts on the Flat since finishing second at Kelso in May but is facing a tougher task in this, as is Forestside, who usually manages to find at least one too good.
