Donnelly's Rainbow was winning over 7f for the third time when scoring at Musselburgh recently but DAWN BREAKING is preferred over today’s trip. The latter won at Pontefract before scoring over course and distance and Richard Whitaker’s charge may well defy a further 5lb rise in his current form. The consistent Betty Grable looks sure to figure again and finished ahead of My Valentino back in May while the latter has subsequently beaten Clary at Hamilton. Radjash and Cameo Star are others with something to prove over this far.
