        Verdict

        Well Planted and Lucky Draw finished one-two at Newcastle last month, but both have delivered very different performances since. The former was well beaten at Musselburgh and remains unproven on turf, so is best watched now. In stark contrast, LUCKY DRAW was never in danger when coasting home over this trip last week on the soft Lingfield turf and a repeat of that level would make him hard to beat despite a 5lb penalty. Sir Charles Punch gives weight away all round despite a 0-15 record on the Flat but his last two runs suggest he's capable of landing a low-grade handicap and he's certainly shortlisted.
