Another wide open affair were not many can be confidently ruled out. Matty Tun may have been a surprise winner at Newcastle last time, but he went about his task in good style and comfortably overturned the odds on favourite. He faces a stiffer task now but is respected as an improver all the same. Mornin Reserves is also on an upward curve and should go close if he can continue his progression. He should confirm recent form with The Links - with that one set to race from 2lb out of the handicap, and may well add to his victory at Hamilton from the time before last. Abercorn may be a better horse on the all weather and has a little to prove after being well held at Nottingham last week.
