True Bond stayed on strongly to score over Beverley's stiff 5f and looks certain to go well despite his big weight. Lord Buffhead and Justine Time fought out the finish of a similar event at Newcastle on heavy ground and there is very little between the pair here but in a wide-open contest PHOENIX CLUBS gets the vote. Paul Midgley's filly had shown a little promise before her best effort to date at Beverley where she was bumped at the start and got no sort of run from the 2f pole.
