Verdict
McCoy rides Pendra for the in-form Charlie Longsdon and his mount was a very decent novice hurdler last season, finishing second in a Grade 1 at Sandown in January. But there wasn't much between him and EDUARD on a line through the smart Melodic Rendevouz and Nicky Richards' charge looks a real chasing type. He's already shown a liking for this stiff course so gets the nod. Tour D'Argent was well behind Pendra over hurdles at Cheltenham in March and re-opposes on worse terms while Jet Master unseated his rider over course and distance on his chasing bow earlier this month. My Idea has only managed two places in six chase starts and is likely to find a few of these too good again.
