SUPER ROAD TRAIN is our idea of the most likely winner although Ballyyvoge and Huka Lodge also make appeal. Sue Smith improved this nine-year-old immeasurably last season and he kept on gamely to chase home See You There over course-and-distance despite it appearing a lost cause. Ballyvoge made all to win a weak Novice event at the track. His trainer has a fair record with chasers around this circuit and a note in the market is advised. Huka Lodge has poor form figures of late but is very useful when the mud flies and can go well at a price. Silver Sedge has been well beaten in recent events and needs a helping hand from the handicapper. Laertes is still well treated versus his hurdling form and put that to good use when accounting for The Gangerman in the Highland National. Lucky Nellerie seems at his best when able to dominate. Royal Mackintosh picked up two moderate affairs over course-and-distance and takes a step up in gradfe this afternoon. Firth Of Forth was scheduled to run on Wednesday. Super Road Train gets our confident selection in the staying chase.
