Verdict

COOL IN THE SHADE ran her best to date when third at Redcar a fortnight ago. Paul Midgley's filly could make a bold bid back in handicap company and gets the nod ahead of Alluring Star. She ran better than her finishing position suggests when seventh at Wolverhampton a week ago and could figure, while Robber Stone's placed efforts in nurseries last season give him claims. Green Pastures and The Nifty Duchess are others to note with improvement likely on their handicap debuts.
