A very ordinary contest can go to Bollin Thomas, who is just preferred over the ultra-game Colway Ritz, Eton and Stallone. The selection shaped as if coming to hand at Catterick last month and, with that outing sure to have done his fitness the power of good, he looks to primed to go well in only his second start in this claiming company. Stallone is capable of pushing the selection all the way if he is in the mood and does not have too much to find in this company. The return to turf will ideally suit him and a bold bid cannot be ruled out. Eton has claims on the best of his efforts and he is now back on a very attractive mark for future minor handicaps. His trainer has an excellent record in races of this nature and he too should not be dismissed lightly. Colway Ritz tries his heart out and has been a credit to his connections. Still, he has not won for going on three years and basically looks to be on the downgrade. He could feasibly pull something out of the bag but needs everything to fall into place for him. Therefore, we go with Bollin Thomas, who is a more reliable option. This versatile performer will not mind the ground and, as Dave Allan almost coaxed a win out him last time, the partnership are given another chance today.
