Jungle Jinks is going the right way and is selected to land the feature race at the expense of Bramblehill Duke, Malek and High Cotton. Jungle Jinks was a progressive sort two years ago, winning three novice chases, but took time to find his form subsequently. However, based on his recent second to Mr Cospector over three miles at Haydock, George Moore's nine-year-old should take all the beating, as quite a few of those who finished behind went on to contest the Tote Eider Chase, including Tyneandthyneagain, victorious under topweight at Newcastle. That is solid form, and as the trainer was considering entering Jungle Jinks for the four-miler at the Cheltenham Festival, there should be no doubts about his ability to last out this stiff three and a half miles today. Mary Reveley sets a poser by saddling both High Cotton and Malek, with the latter preferred under Timmy Murphy. He was a beaten favourite at Wetherby last time but will handle the ground and is not badly treated on his best form. Bramblehill Duke is another threat. His stable are in form and the 12-year-old has the valuable assistance of Sam Thomas who can claim five pounds. If Kerry Lads brushes up his jumping, he can make a bid for the frame, but we have no hesitation in nominating Jungle Jinks as the one to be on.
