A competitive renewal of this famous old handicap with only 5lb on official ratings separating the 17 runners. Brian Ellison won this last year with Camerooney and he looks to have a leading chance today with PRAVDA STREET. The winner of both starts for his new yard, he won with plenty in hand at Ayr last week and this extra furlong should be no problem for the son of Soviet Star. Mont Ras landed his hat-trick when an easy winner at Haydock on Saturday and has to be included in calculations, while stablemate and Thirsk winner Kensei could also figure. The consistent Veroon remains in fine fettle and scored at Doncaster last time and Toto Skyllachy just got the better of Take It To The Max in the trial race for this contest last month with Miami Gator a further length behind.
