It was heavy ground when THEME TUNE made a winning start over hurdles with last month’s victory at Ludlow. He may well defy a penalty with further progress though Ulverston has been beaten in both subsequent outings since scoring at Uttoxeter. Khamsin Moor and Deep Charm failed to threaten on their respective hurdling debuts and it remains to be seen how Lanty Slea, a bumper winner here last year, fares on his first start over timber. Just Don't Know has won a point-to-point since well beaten over fences in 2019 while the newcomer Mr Melda makes a belated debut having cost €88,000 as a three-year-old.
