Verdict

Calliope returned a beaten favourite once again when only fourth at Kelso last time and a chance is taken on VERY PATIENT. He ran well at Hexham on his handicap debut in March and all three opponents on that occasion have subsequently won. Lissen To The Lady won at Kelso in May while Headscarf Lil has placed off similar marks and Arcanja returns to hurdling having placed in an all-weather bumper back in February.
