Verdict

Balkalin finally won a race at Kelso earlier this month but must be worth opposing in this stronger contest under a penalty. Carlo Du Berlais has hinted at ability in bumpers and has placed between the flags though Hattons Gardens, Harjo, Cedar Row and Get Up Mush appear to have stronger point-to-point form. MAXIMILIAN (NAP) followed up victory in a maiden point by winning a couple of bumpers here last season and he will have had plenty of schooling ahead of this assignment. Densworth won a Worcester bumper by 15 lengths in June so can’t be ignored.
