Verdict

Felix Mendelssohn is 2-3 over fences but his best form is on much quicker surfaces. The going may also be too testing for last month’s Kelso winner Honourable Gent but Le Frank will handle conditions and would have a chance on the pick of his form. Never Up has been lightly raced in recent year and also warrants a mention but the vote goes to SPORTING PRESS, who beat an arguably stronger field on similar going at Kelso in April and still has time of his side. Zolfo is generally best at Bangor but King's Wharf and Instingtive would both have each-way claims.
