In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these arrive in top form including Redarna, though last month's victory on this track was over 7f on fast going. He won't mind the conditions but has never won over the trip. Ishebayorgrey was best on Polytrack and fast going in Ireland but Edgar Allan Poe showed his liking for soft going here last week, though that was over 1m1f. He comes here with a 5lb penalty as does Chinese Spirit, who gave notice of an imminent victory when a close third at Ayr then won at Hamilton last week, form that should be good enough to get him into the frame, though the vote goes to BEVERLEY BULLET (NAP), who loves this track and ground and ran well in a better race at York last time.
