In depth

Verdict

Lowanbehold was third in a race at Ayr last month in which Nakadam was sixth and Kilbree Chief pulled up. Lough Derg Farmer is getting closer but both hurdles wins came on good ground and, with showers forecast, conditions here could become testing. That would be a massive plus for KILCULLEN FLEM (NAP), a dour stayer who loves the mud. Philip Kirby’s charge didn’t fire on his reappearance at Hexham but will strip fitter today. Chef D'Oeuvre disappointed after winning at Hereford last year but showed he retains some ability on his first start for Sam England.
