In a very tricky contest we have narrowed it down to Wrenlane, Flash Ram and Baby Barry, with the first named just getting our vote. Richard Fahey's four-year-old landed a couple of races last autumn off similar marks to today and looked to be on the way back last time. He finished a close up fourth behind Bollin Edward at Beverley and if that run can be slightly improved on he will be hard to beat here today. Flash Ram comes here in winning form having landed a modest handicap at Newcastle. There could be more to come and he rates a big danger. Meanwhile Baby Barry can be given a squeak on his successful run at Goodwood last September. Of the others Moscow Blue is worthy of a mention for each-way purposes, but Wrenlane does have strong claims on his best form and gets the decision.
