In depth

Verdict

After scoring comfortably over the track and trip last month, BOBS LORD TIARA couldn't quite cope with an extra couple of furlongs on a return visit and succumbed to Shades Of Midnight. Back over this trip he could just have the experience to see of the challenge of hurdling newcomer Gingili. Donald McCain's charge followed his point-to-point victory in Ireland with two successes in bumpers and looks certain to make a decent hurdler. Parles Pond was a long way behind the selection here earlier this month but could still snatch a place.
