Verdict

Wazowski is penalised for an earlier success at Hexham and unseated at the first on his latest start at the same track. Fit For Fifty and Late Date were both well beaten last month with the former making his hurdling bow today so a chance is taken on the returning RYEDALE RACER. He never looked like winning when third in a handicap at Sedgefield in March but that form reads well enough in this context and a repeat should see Malcom Jefferson’s charge in the mix. Points winner Ballyarthur made a decent start over timber with a second at Huntingdon but that was over a year ago now and he may need this.
