In depth

Verdict

DAWN BREAKING appeared to be on a relentless downward spiral until producing dramatic improvement to score at Pontefract this month. Front-running tactics appeared to make the difference and the Whittaker inmate can follow up if Phil Dennis can break rapidly on the son of Firebreak from a far from ideal wide draw. He remains extremely well treated on the best of his old form, handles soft ground well and it will be fascinating to see if he is able to replicate that recent improvement. Move In Faster is highly respected on form lines but has yet to tackle heavy ground, whilst recent winner, My Valentino and the consistent Cliff Bay are also worth considering.
