    Verdict

Danot won a claimer at Beverley last time despite his rider losing an iron at one point in the race. He should give another good account but SHOWSTOPPA is preferred. She was beaten in a novice event at Beverley having won at Musselburgh before that but this looks easier. Westhoughton and Classic Flyer were both placed on their respective handicap debuts while Penny Royale may improve now in a nursery for the first time.
