    Verdict

Lucinda Russell’s stable has been among the winners and Methodtothemadness has been generally progressive under Rules. Amberose has also won over course and distance so can’t be ignored but the going may be too testing for Lady Samback. LILY’S GEM (NAP) won her bumper on soft ground here last year. She’s placed the last twice over hurdles and may now be ready to open her account over obstacles with an opening mark of 111 looking quite generous.
