Although much will depend on the state of the ground this looks likely to rest between the top three in the weights. The improving profile of Jimmy Whiskers makes him the obvious choice for a safe selection and he can put his soft ground experience to good use. The form of his two runs behind Len Lungo-trained hot-pots may well prove to be head and shoulder above what the rest have achieved here and Ferdy Murphy¿s charge is taken to score on his seasonal debut. Curly Spencer goes well here and will relish the ground if there is further rain, but the overall balance of form leaves him vulnerable to an unexposed type at this level. Broom Close acquitted himself well on both his previous starts at Carlisle and this ex-pointer can provide a bit of value for the forecast slot.
