Verdict
SIMPLY THE WEST found plenty when landing a maiden point-to-point at Bartlemy in May. He's not overtaxed on his hurdling debut here for Charlie Longsdon and is taken to get the better of The Backup Plan, having his fourth start over timber today, and Rolling Maul. The latter has a double penalty to carry after wins at Market Rasen and Newton Abbot in the summer and disappointed last time at Southwell. Tom's Article may be a bigger danger after getting off the mark at Navan last month, though the longer trip and stiff track is a worry. Back To Bracka may not have beaten much at Sligo in the spring and has changed stables since.
