FIRST LOOK is sure to be primed fit and raring to go after a recent flat outing and gets the nod here over Stoneriggs Merc, Schinken Otto and Cantgeton. Peter Monteith has a strong hand here with Cantgeton and First Look, of which we prefer the latter. Although officially not as good over fences as over hurdles, the selection is still a decent performer. He handles soft ground well so won't mind any further rain and in an open race he should give punters a run for their money. Cantgeton is a course and distance winner and should come on for his recent pipe-opener. Husk Tiger has claims on the pick of his runs, whilst Glingerbank is a horse of some potential but he will need to have improved over the summer now out of Novice company. Stoneriggs Merc is holding his form well and got a well-deserved win last time out at Cartmel when the cheek-pieces were taken off; they are back on today. Schinken Otto has no secrets from the handicapper but is game and willing, whilst Tribal Dispute has some fine form from years gone by but his career has been blighted by injury. Some Touch signed off earlier in the year with two duff efforts including behind the selection in February, and whilst he should not be underestimated for a canny trainer, we will return to First Look as the selection.
