A field large on numbers but plenty of dead wood and not many can be given a serious chance. The race appears to revolve around Windy Britain, Archie Babe and Spitting Image and the selection is windy Britain. He won a shade cozily last time out when defeating Transcendental, and although he has risen the weights will be hard to beat. Archie Babe would have a chance on his best form but he dissapointed last time and all his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Spitting Image is from a yard in top form but gives the impression she will be seen to even better effect over a longer trip. Of the remainder Johnson's Point was behind Windy Britain last time and there is no reason why she should reverse placings even on these revised terms. Khuzdar is from a shrewd yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
