The in-form Three Mirrors is fancied to land the hat-trick today; possibly with the most to fear from College City and Flight Command. The last named won't mind the undulations of the track and may raise his game for his first visit to Carlisle. He is on a long losing run but has dropped to a handy mark as a result. Watch the betting carefully where he is concerned. College City also has a chance on these terms and is no forlorn hope. However, the trip may be on the sharp side for him these days, so he would need everything to fall into place for him. Oliverjohn is also worth a mention, as he would come right into the argument if any rain arrives before the off. Lucinda Russell's charge has gone well here in the past and would be no back number in this company. However, everything seems to have come together for Three Mirrors of late and, as the manner of his latest success at Wetherby suggested he has plenty more to offer, a 7lb penalty is expected to be brushed aside by the Ferdy Murphy-trained gelding.
