In depth

Verdict

BID FOR GOLD is 8lb higher than when scoring over C&D in June last year but a return to winning ways looked imminent when he was second off this mark at Pontefract last time and Jedd O'Keeffe's eight-year-old may be the one to beat here with Emma Beckford claiming 5lb. Feel The Heat and Tongalooma will both have benefited from recent comeback runs while Two Turtle Doves comes here off the back of a win at Chepstow and Soopacal was successful at Southwell before finishing third at Musselburgh, though that was over an extra furlong. Sir Mozart may also need further while Red Roar is an infrequent winner and Needy McCredie only ran three days ago.
