Scribe was successful over 1m5f at Bath last month and also has winning form over this longer trip. Jan Smuts arrives off the back of a decent second at Newcastle but Gold Chain disappointed at Ayr after winning at the same track earlier and finishing second over hurdles at Cartmel. Indepub is undoubtedly better over timber nowadays and hard to catch right. A SOUTHSIDE BOY looks to have plenty in his favour in this, not least Carol Bartley's presence in the saddle. He's eased in grade and has won over 2m4f over hurdles so stamina clearly won't be an issue.
