Lady Chaparral won an amateur race over C&D last season but has been some way below that form in both starts this year while Tenhoo hasn't looked like adding to last year's three victories so far this term. Snow Dancer has been in better form with a close-up third over a shorter trip here last time and last month's Thirsk winner Yahrab went close to following up at Catterick on his latest start. Reset City and Embsay Crag have been running well without winning and Royal Opera should go well, but the vote goes to the lightly-raced five-year-old CAPE RISING, back over a longer trip with an apprentice's 5lb claim helping her cause.
