In depth

Verdict

The betting suggested HOSTILE HOTELIER would improve on his handicap debut and he duly obliged at Hexham last month. A conditional’s allowance reduces a 5lb rise and he can go in again. Barney Stinson went close at Perth back in July and is allowed to race off the same mark today. He looks the main threat given the remainder are hard to fancy on recent efforts with Dance Thief perhaps best of them.
