Verdict

Charlotte Vale has thrived in recent weeks and we take her to get the better of Aurelia and Bailey's Dancer. A winner over 1m4f, Charlotte Vale was produced under a fine ride by Tony Culhane to land a fillies' event at Pontefract and should continue to pay her way. Aurelia is likely to be popular through the connection with Sir Mark Prescott. The Baronet is having a fine season this year and this Bath maiden winner was interestingly stepped up in grade last term. Ego Trip and Bailey's Dancer are both here off modest runs last time out must be capable of more than the bare form suggests. In the latter's case, the soft ground was probably not to his liking. Garston Star is back to his best trip having floundered over further at Sandown. A good race by Carlisle's standards and we stick with the in-form Charlotte Vale.
