      Verdict

      SOARING SPIRITS is upped 3lb for winning at Nottingham last time but that may not be enough to prevent a repeat of last year’s success in this. Dean Ivory’s charge is preferred to Welsh Inlet and With Approval, who both finished runner-up on their respective latest starts over track and trip with the latter preferred off his current mark. Good Luck Charm is back on a decent mark but Altiko Tommy has done his winning on the all-weather so far and Swiss Cross recorded his recent success in Jersey.
