Djalalabad, Convince and Fairly Honest make most appeal in this handicap and the vote is given to CONVINCE. The selection has been in decent form of late and he will be suited by the step-up to 7f. David Probert is good value for his 3lbs claim, and although the draw could have been kinder he still looks to have a solid chance. Fairly Honest wasn't beaten all that far last time out, but that was in a seller and he has more on his plate if he is to get competitive today. Djalalabad will have her supporters as she has been in decent form on the all-weather, but she has yet to get her head in front in 21 starts on the turf. Jonny Ebeneezer has got course and distance winning form but his wide draw is a big negative, comments that would also apply to Batchworth Blaise. This is an open event and Convince looks to hold solid claims.
