THE MONGOOSE quickened nicely to go clear of his field before staying on resolutely to oblige over course and distance last week. He is taken to supplement that success at the main expense of Alice Rose. The latter was very poor last time but something was surely amiss as she had scored cosily at Leicester the time before. It will be interesting to see if the application of a first-time hood has the desired effect. Decent Fella has taken time to find his form but warrants shortlist inclusion now in better nick, as does the six-year-old mare, Wishformore, much improved the last twice since joining Zoe Davison.
