A small but competitive field goes to post for this maiden and many have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Chertsey, Suave Quartet and Archerfield and the vote goes to Chertsey. The selection is a half sister to the useful Dutch Gold and she showed enough on her debut when third behind Keyaki to suggest she could win a race of this nature and with the step up in trip sure to suit she will be hard to beat. Suave Quartet rates the main danger on his second behind Meses De Minuet on his last run last season but his stable is going through a very quiet spell and he may just need the run after an 209 day absence. Archerfield is another that could go well but he has been very disappointing on his last two runs in handicaps and although this is easier he will need to improve to score. Aragon's Boy and Pregnant Pause have had plenty of chances and are passe over on this occasion and for the winner we return to Chertsey.
