        Verdict

        A poor race that lacks strength in depth can go to Hugwity who showed last time that despite his advancing years he is more than capable of lifting a race of this nature. The 10-year-old ran as well as could be expected in the face of a stiff task when a staying-on second behind Tissifer in a similar event last time and can go one place better against inferior rivals. Noble Calling has been in good heart of late but has something to find with the selection on these terms while Blue Streak ran well in a low-grade newbury handicap last time but remains exposed as a poor maiden and is opposable
