Verdict

Sheila's Lad got no sort of run despite having just four rivals on his debut in heavy going at Leicester and should do better but Spin Top hung violently on his opening run at Kempton and had to be pulled up. The filly Swell Hill is by the first-season stallion Foxwedge, a Group 1 winning sprinter in Australia. She appears to have been bought very cheaply but RAFFLE KING went for 48,000gns and, with his yard in reasonable form, the son of Kodiac can make a successful start. Both Visionary and Charlie Beer Punt have enough speed in their pedigree to be considered.
