Plenty with a chance in this but CLEAR SPRING has been the most progressive this year and gets the nod on that basis. He was scoring for the fourth time this season when successful at Warwick last time and the C&D winner can defy another rise in the weights. This is tougher than the race Commandingpresence won at Lingfield while Peter Island was ending a long losing run when beating Interakt over 5f here last month and has been well beaten since. Epsom winner Lunar Deity has a shout with Richard Hughes booked while Clear Praise and Perfect Pastime are others to consider.
Perfect Pastime 16-1 (9-7) Raced wide tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, kept on one pace final furlong, lost 3rd post, 4th of 12, 4 1/2l behind Sacrosanctus (9-10) at Epsom Downs 6f hcp 0-85 (4) gd in Aug.
