    Verdict

Junoesque has won seven times over shorter trips here, including his latest start over 1m2f, but Harbour Project took 17 attempts to open his account but finally did so at Wolverhampton last time. Militry Decoration opened his account on Turf after 15 attempts when scoring at Bath while Keeper won over track and trip last summer but was tailed off on his reappearance. MITIGATED RISK was well supported in the betting at Yarmouth on his debut for a new yard and, with cheekpieces fitted today, John Butler’s charge gets another chance.

Junoesque 5-1 (9-0) Disputed lead, ridden and headed narrowly 2f out, kept on and rallied to lead again final 110 yards, strongly pressed close home but stayed on gamely, won at Brighton 1m 2f hcp (6) gf in Apr beating Smokey Malone (9-6) by 1/2l, 8 ran.

Harbour Project 5-1 (8-13) Held up in rear, pushed along briefly halfway, ridden over 2f out, good headway in between horses entering final furlong, stayed on strongly to lead final strides, won at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (6) pol in Apr beating Reformed Character (8-13) by 3/4l, 13 ran.
