A moderate contest and a chance is taken with the thre-year-old The Sun Also Rises, mainly because he should be open to a little more improvement than his rivals. The main danger could prove to be On Guard, even though he has yet to win on turf. He turned in a solid effort behind Lygeton Lad at Warwick and a reproduction of that run would make him difficult to beat. Front runner Mickley, in good form on the All-Weather last winter, may prove difficult to peg back if allowed too much of a free role up front and he looks certain to be involved in the finish.
