        Verdict

        Mornington hasn’t raced since December but all of the others have been in action on the all-weather recently and Boycie won an apprentices’ race at Doncaster on the opening day of the Turf season under Tina Smith, though is 5lb higher here. ALDEBURGH finished four lengths ahead of Archangel Raphael on his reappearance at Kempton and is only 2lb worse off - he is fancied to go one better today. Byres Road has yet to win on Turf but went close at Ripon off a similar mark around this time last year so is respected. He makes more appeal than Craftsmanship, Inniscastle Lad and King of Dreams.
