In depth

Verdict

Big Time Maybe won at this fixture last year and finished in front of Hot Hot Hot when beaten a length back here last month. But ANDRE AMAR went close off a similar mark at the track at the end of last season and will be sharper for a recent comeback at Bath. Kath's Toyboy and Jack Ryan have not been at their best lately while Nigg Bay’s recent second here came in a lowly classified race.

Nigg Bay (IRE) 2-1fav (9-4) Raced wide, towards rear, pushed along 3f out, headway under pressure when hung left over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, not quicken close home, 3rd of 9, 1/4l behind Moveonup (9-4) at Brighton 5f stks (6) gd in Jun.

Hot Hot Hot 10-3 (9-4) Close up, pushed along 2f out, headway when not clear run approaching final furlong, kept on, 4th of 9, 2 1/4l behind Moveonup (9-4) at Brighton 5f stks (6) gd in Jun.
