Verdict

DEEDS NOT WORDS landed a hat-trick at this time last year, culminating with a victory in this contest, and Michael Wigham’s charge gets a speculative vote now 8lb lower in the weights. New Rich was only fifth in last year’s renewal but arrives in decent form with recent placed efforts on the all-weather and finished in front of Noble Deed at Kempton in March while Give Em A Clump had also been in the mix without threatening to win before unseating at Chepstow last time. Strictly Carter won at Chelmsford back in February but hasn’t figured since.
