NOBLE BULL ran below par in slow ground at Haydock last time but is better judged on his earlier second at Newmarket. Today's longer trip will suit and Charlie Hills' colt can open his account. Persian Wave is another who went backwards on soft going last time but wasn't disgraced on his debut at Sandown and is preferred to Kalahari Breeze and Emell. The latter is likely to improve for a modest effort on his debut but the newcomer Alpine Jerry makes no appeal.
