In depth

Verdict

This is another competitive maiden in which Quintrell, Heather Moor and Casual Affair form the shortlist and the vote is given to Quintrell. The selection was a little unlucky at Goodwood last time when she finished second behind Rydal Mount. She encountered traffic problems that day and with a clearer run here she ought to take plenty of beating. Heather Moor was disappointing at Beverley last time when she faded tamely behind Caressed. She had run well previously at Nottingham and if she is forgiven that latest blip then she would hold a solid chance. Casual Affair was slowly away on his debut behind Orpen Quest and in the end he was not beaten far. He is sure to benefit from the experience and from a good draw it would be no surprise to see him go well. With Style should be suited by the drop in trip and is another to consider, but for the winner we are happy to return to Quintrell.
