In depth

Verdict

OTOMO made a winning reappearance over track and trip, despite pulling hard, and was second twice over 7f here in the autumn. Course specialists are always worth following here and a 6lb rise is partly negated by the booking of Silvestre De Sousa. Goodwood Crusader won and dead-heated at Bath in April under Finley Marsh and the 7lb claimer is in the saddle again. Compton Poppy won in this grade at Chepstow last year and a return to that form would put her in the picture but Tai Hang Dragon was well beaten on her debut on Turf.
