      Verdict

      Fieldsman has come into the reckoning off a mark of 79 but was still beaten five lengths when second at Newmarket. Glorious Magic was beaten the same distance when runner-up at Lingfield and SHADOW ROCK's two length defeat by Tannaaf at Headquarters looks stronger form. The Hannon colt gets the nod with the likes of Pleiades and Best Example likely improvers. The newcomer Shakopee will be seen to better effect when taking on longer distances.
